My username is ______ because ______: ![[info]](http://www.insanejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) amor_remanet; Well, back at the end of ninth grade, when I got my first livejournal, I'd been using Duanya as an online alias (still seen in my email address) and various forms of Sailor Moon-themed silliness as backups. Duanya came from a D&D character who got shot in the face and died; the Sailor Moon stuff was just me being an obsessive fan-nerd. Anyway, when I got to LJ, I wanted to do something ~different~ and ~new~… so I put my four years of Latin class to work and made up a Latin username. It translates to "love remains," which I thought was being Poignant And Cool… and then it just stuck and I'm too attached to change it.
2. My name is _____ because ______: "Kassie: a wild tl;dr monster" because, for ages, it was "Kassie, guardian angel of emo angsty boys" courtesy of something sherlock said on some snaps cup meme (I think it was a snaps cup meme anyway?) a while back, and as much as I loved that name, I thought a change was worthwhile. Also, I talk too much.
3. My journal is titled ____ because ____: "no, not the young people. they shall be spared." This is one of my favorite lines from the translation of Strindberg's The Ghost Sonata I read for Theatre History in my freshman year. Mostly, it's because I just really liked that line. Likewise, the subtitle is, "it could be worse! we could be stuck in the audience!" from one of my favorite lines in Muppet Treasure Island. (Statler and Waldorf are the figureheads on the bow of the ship. They're discussing how much it sucks to be stuck on said bow.)
4. My default userpic is ____ because ____: Linus and his blue blanket in A Charlie Brown Christmas, forlornly staring at the fail-tree. Because it's seasonal and I've been sort of feeling like the fail-tree lately.

You know how sometimes people on your friendslist post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute. Since when were they working there? Since when were they dating him/her? Since when?" And you wonder how you could have missed all of that seemingly standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification, because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

As of last night, I reached my rpwrimo goals. The biggest challenge for me was actually reaching 30,000 words in everything but my THY stuff, and I succeeded! Of course, I went on a bit of a writing spree yesterday and wrote more words in one day than I have on any other single day this month. And it's the only day that I've gotten at least a tag or journal written in every game I'm in.
I'm glad to have met my goals because the next week and a half need to be spent on school stuff; today I need to concentrate on getting this reading done so that I can actually write the paper that I need to. And once the reading is done, I'd like to at least work up some sort of outline for my Shoah project.
I can do this. I think.

I really like the 2nd one, the retro one. usually when i follow tutorials they turn out kinda crappy when you change the word but this one looks ok i think. The grass one took like 3 hours though i'm so silly.

Not too bad! I'm not sure yet if I'll reach 30,000 at my not THY stuff, but we'll see! Either way, it's been a pretty good month, I must say.
Today I need to go have my car inspected by the insurance company and I suppose I should try to get started on homework for Monday. But for now, I've had leftovers and am watching Hercules and plan to take it easy. Hooray!
Also, thanksgiving yesterday was a lot better than I thought it would be. Except then I fell asleep far far too early last night. It made me sad.

The more I play her, the more I'm really enjoying Bailey. :) She is certainly her father's daughter, and quite the flirt. Last week, she went on a date with Nate that wasn't really a date but it sort of was and she really enjoyed herself so she's excited for their next outing. And what I like for her is that she's not actively looking for romance or anything like that- she just wants to have fun and if something comes out of it, that'd be awesome, and if not, she's not going to get too worked up about it.
I know I had more rambles but I ate so much today that I'm just sorta dazed today...
